Blocked Sewer Abermain
A blocked sewer in Abermain is the pipe carrying toilet and kitchen waste from the house to the street main, stopped solid. Your plumber in Abermain at Abermain Plumbing Co clears it with a jetter or eel, films the line and fixes the price before starting. Ring (02) 4063 3475 if sewage is rising.

Sewer or Stormwater: Which Is Blocked?
Both pipes run under the same yard, but a sewer blockage shows itself inside the house:
- The toilet rising when you flush, then draining away slowly
- The floor waste in the bathroom bubbling as the washing machine empties
- Sewage pushing out of the lowest gully outside
- A foul smell at the gully after it has drained
Rain that pools on the lawn with no smell and no trouble indoors is a stormwater fault instead. The blocked drains hub explains how we tell which line has failed.
How We Clear a Sewer
- 01
Film it first
The camera goes in through an inspection opening or the yard gully to find the blockage and see whether it is roots, fat or broken pipe.
- 02
Clear it
The jetter scours the pipe wall with water, or the eel's cutting head is used where the line or access suits a cable. No chemicals go down.
- 03
Film it again
A second pass shows clean walls and moving water, and whether any joint needs more than a clear.
Roots found at an open joint are dealt with through tree root removal, and a cracked section can be sealed with pipe relining instead of a trench.
What Sets the Price of a Sewer Clear?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
What moves the figure:
- Distance to the blockage Since cable and camera time grow with every metre from the opening
- Pipe type As old earthenware, galvanised and PVC each take a different tool and pressure
- Openings to work from Because an inspection shaft at the boundary makes a quicker job than going in through a toilet pan
- Time of day Since a night or weekend clear carries a surcharge quoted on the phone

Blocked Sewer Questions
Can a blocked sewer in Abermain wait until morning?
Not if sewage is already coming out of a gully or the shower drain, since an old clay line that has stopped completely will keep overflowing each time a toilet flushes. Call straight away and keep children and pets clear. A toilet that is only slow can take a daytime booking.
Do the roots come back after a sewer clear?
They can. Cutting removes the roots inside the pipe, but the cracked joint they grew through is still there. The footage after the clear shows that joint, and relining it closes the gap without a trench across the Abermain yard.
Is the camera run included in the clear?
Yes. We film the sewer before touching it, so the clearing tool goes straight to the blockage, and again afterwards so you can see clean pipe. A copy of the recording comes with your invoice.
What happens if the pipe has collapsed?
Broken earthenware cannot be cleared back into shape. The footage shows how long the damaged length is and whether it can be lined or has to be dug up, and that repair gets its own fixed price for you to approve.
